Special Events

This year the market is hosting special presentations and demonstrations during market hours, 9:00am-12:00pm.  If you would like to lead an event or become more involved with these special events, call the Mercer County Chamber of Commerce at 419-586-2219 or submit a request online.

2023 Kids’ Activities

9:15-11:30 A.M

May 6 – Arts’ Place St. Marys hosts puppet making.

May 13 – Parkway FFA members assist kids in planting a sunflower seed, decorating the pot & creating a Mother’s Day card.

May 20 – Mercer County District Library hosts the kids’ craft & sign up for the Summer Reading Program. Homeless Books allows shoppers to donate or select a new book.

May 27 – The Gardens at Celina helps children create keychain lanyards using decorative beads.

June 3 – The Gardens at St. Henry assists kids in making lava lamps.

June 10 – Designing Women help kids make mosaic tissue butterflies.

June 17 – Blooms & Beyond help kids fill a coffee mug with a succulent & design a card for Father’s Day.

June 24 – GLUMC sets up the inflatable Bounce House & Slide Combo and Miniature Golf.

July 1 – The market steering committee makes pool noodle beasts with children.

July 8 – Cooper Farms brings field games (ring toss & fishing) & a hands-on craft activity for kids.

July 15 – Celina Insurance Group assists kids in creating edible race cars, rocket ships & ants on a log using fruits & vegetables.

July 22 – GLUMC sets up the inflatable Bounce House & Slide Combo and Miniature Golf.

July 29 – Market volunteers help kids decorate Christmas cookies & make a craft to celebrate Christmas in July at the market.

Aug. 5 – CHS National Honor Society assists kids in making popsicle stick dragon flies.

Aug. 12 – No market this date due to the Mercer County Fair.

Aug. 19 – Arrow N Bows helps kids with Backyard Bass casting & crafts.

Aug. 26 –SPECIAL EVENT: Lake Area Arts Group hosts Kids’ Plein Air at the Market for ages 7-14. LAAG hosts a painting craft activity for younger children.

Sept. 2 – Unique Roots helps kids make wood block planters for air plants.

Sept. 9 – Celina Flower & Garden Club hosts seed art with kids.

Sept. 16 – Coldwater FFA members help kids make edible soil layer pudding cups.

Sept. 23 – St. Henry FFA members help kids decorate pumpkins/ Vendor Appreciation Day.

Sept. 30 – Celina FFA members host kids’ field games/ Customer Appreciation Day.
